North Florida road projects (The Gainesville Sun)
Upcoming road work this week that could cause delays or shut down some sections of North Florida roadways include the following.
Kendall residents concerned about Palmetto Expressway expansion (Miami Herald)
Palmetto Expressway expansion plans are facing obstacles from two camps opposed to the Kendall-area project. Miami-Dade Commissioner Javier Souto worries eight-laning the Bird Road segment facing Tropical Park would transform the road into a highway, making it a safety issue for residents who cross the road to get to the park.
It's hard to see at night on U.S. 27 (Miami Herald)
Q. I travel U.S. 27 at night. Illumination from South Bay to the I-75 entrance is poor, making it impossible to see where the road ends and the shoulder/grass embankment begins.
